Mary T. Bellegante, 86, of Miller's Merry Manor, New Carlisle, Ind., passed away at 1:20 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 19, in the nursing home.

Mrs. Bellegante was born on Nov. 12, 1911, in Bessemer, Mich., and had lived in New Carlisle since 1977.

On May 18, 1941, in Chicago, Ill., as Mary T. Baldino, she married Anthony L. Bellegante, who preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 1971. She was also preceded in death by a son, Tony Bellegante on March 23, 1994; and by a son-in-law, Leonard Belpedio on Sept. 5, 1994.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Belpedio of Des Plaines, Ill.; four grandchildren, Lenny Belpedio, Karen Bellegante Kizer, Dawn Bellegante and Anthony L. Bellegante, Jr.; six great-grandchildren, Dina Bellegante, Christina and Nichole Kizer, Angela and Michael Belpedio, and Tate Bellegante; and by two sisters, Josephine Greco of Berwyn, Ill., and Eleanor Paladino of Las Vegas, Nev.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. (CST) on Monday in St. Rita's Catholic Church, Kincaid, Ill. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville, Ill.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. (EST) today in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend.
