SOUTH BEND - Steven A. Bella, 81, of
Prairie Avenue, died at 8:30 p.m. Friday in the home of his
daughter, Georgia Bella, with whom he lived. Mr. Bella retired
from Allied Products and was formerly employed at Studebaker
Corp. He was born July 8, 1914, in South Bend and was a lifetime
area resident.
On April 21, 1938, in South Bend, he married
Elizabeth E. Vliek. She died May 27, 1995. Surviving are
two daughters, Georgia Bella of Mishawaka and Gloria Manuszak
of Mendon; a son, David A. of Walkerton; nine grandchildren; 18
great-grandchildren; two sisters, Veronica Hertczeg and
Regina Hafron, both of South Bend; and two brothers,
Julius and Arthur, both of South Bend.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in
Zahoran Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sumption Prairie
Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in
the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to any
charity.
