Lance Joseph Bella, 21, of U.S. 20, passed away early Saturday morning, in an automobile fire.

Lance was born on April 20, 1975, in LaPorte, Ind., and was a lifelong area resident. He was employed as an electronics technician with Communication Design in South Bend, Ind. Lance was a member of the New Carlisle Businessman's Bowling League, was a 1993 New Prairie High School graduate, and was pursuing an associate's degree in Computer Technology from N.R.I.

He is survived by his parents, Arthur (Lenny) and Terry Bella of New Carlisle, Ind.; a brother, Christopher Bella of Vincennes, Ind.; and a paternal grandmother, Ethel Mae Gento of New Carlisle.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12, in the Community Christian Church, 201 W. Michigan St., in New Carlisle, Dr. Ernest Geist officiating. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lance Joseph Bella Trust Fund, c/o Norwest Bank, 118 E. Michigan Street, New Carlisle, IN 46552.
