Evelyn H. Bella, 68, of 726 S. Liberty St., died at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Bella retired from Gruber’s Supermarket. She was born Oct. 8, 1919, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. On April 23, 1955, in South Bend, as Evelyn Wroblewski, she married Thomas L. Bella, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Cynthia DeNeve of Mishawaka; four sons, Ronald Nowicki, Daniel Nowicki and Donald Bella, all of South Bend, and Jerry Bella of Mishawaka; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Monica Vohs of Roseland and Lorraine Berzai of South Bend; and a brother, Clement Wroblewski of South Bend. Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Casimir’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Mrs. Bella was a member of Harvest House of the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Diabetes Association of St. Joseph County.
