Carl R. Beldotti Sr.

June 4, 1965 - April 14, 2001

Carl Ramsey Beldotti Sr., 35, of Eastmont Drive, South Bend, Ind., died after a courageous battle with cancer at 4:02 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, in the home of his sister-in-law and brother-in-law in Scituate, Mass. He was born on June 4, 1965, in Boston, Mass., to Phyllis (Ramsey) and Louis J. Beldotti Sr., and lived in this area for two and one-half years, coming from Florida.

 

Mr. Beldotti was employed at Interstate Decorating Service and was a member of River Park United Methodist Church, both in South Bend. He was a veteran who served with the U.S. Army from 1983-85. Mr. Beldotti was a fan of and enjoyed watching the New England Patriots.

 

On March 25, 1988, in Scituate, he married the former Maria A. Avelino, who survives. He is also survived by their children, Lisa M. Beldotti, Carl Ramsey Beldotti Jr., and Shawn M. Beldotti, all at home; his mother, Phyllis Seaman of South Bend; his father and stepmother, Louis J. and Beverly A. Beldotti Sr. of Owensboro, Ky.; brothers, Louis J. Beldotti Jr. of El Dorado, Ark., and Peter S. Beldotti of Elkhart, Ind.; stepfather, Herschel Workman of Edmond, W.Va.; grandfather, Charles J. Beldotti of Ontario, Canada; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lisa and Alfred Lopes of Scituate; and by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

 

The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. (Mich. time) until the time of services at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, in the Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles, Mich., with the Reverend Philip E. Abram of River Park United Methodist Church officiating. A Veteran's Flag Presentation and Taps, conducted by American Legion Post 51, Buchanan, Mich., will follow. Contributions in memory of Mr. Beldotti may be made to the American Cancer Society.
