29, 1921 - Feb. 22, 2010SOUTH BEND - Imogene Mary Becker, 88, of South Bend, IN, passed away peacefully at 10:10 p.m. Monday, February 22, 2010, in her home. She was born on March 29, 1921, in Terre Haute, IN, to James K. and Mary Ann (McIntyre) McIndoe. On January 3, 1944, in Salinas, CA, she married John K. Becker, who preceded her in death on September 10, 2006. Mrs. Becker is survived by two daughters, Myra (Sam) Hensley of South Bend, IN, and Marcia Mahoney of Carmel, IN; son, Kingsley J. Becker of South Bend, IN; six grandchildren, Sean (Carolyn) Evans, Andrea (Jamie) Brown, Aubrey (Ryan) Sousley, Brian (Melissa) Mahoney, Bradley Mahoney and Brent Mahoney; 10 great-grandchildren, Haley Mahoney, Peyton Mahoney, Owen Brown, Nora Brown, Evan "Evi" Sousley, Samuel Evans, Emma Mahoney, Ashton Mahoney, Brayden Mahoney and Jaxon Mahoney; and a sister, Nan (John) Gentry of South Bend, IN. Three brothers, William, Ronald and Jack McIndoe, preceded her in death. Mrs. Becker was a Riley High School graduate and worked for many years at Miami Florist. She loved people, nature and all animals. Mrs. Becker was one hundred percent Scottish and loved everything linked to Scottish heritage, especially her beloved Scottish terrier, Kiltie. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. today, February 25, in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend.
