George L. Auker, 59, of 35th Street, South Bend, passed away at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20 at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, following a sudden illness.
He was born May 17, 1943, to Vessie and Dorothy Auker in Portland, Ind. They both preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Faye and six children. Also surviving is a sister, Caroline Huffman of LaGrange, Ind., and a brother, John of Texas City, Texas.
Mr. Auker was a Carpenter and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #360, Mishawaka, the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans.
Military funeral rites will be presented at 10 am Monday at Bremen Cemetery, Bremen, Indiana.
Friends will be received from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday at Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, Indiana.
