June 10, 1920 - March 15, 1992

SOUTH BEND - Jane H. Ast, 71, of Regency Place, formerly of 32870 Dunn Rd. New Carlisle died at 6:40 p.m. Sunday in the nursing home. Mrs. Ast was born June 10, 1920, in South Bend, and was a life long are resident. On Nov. 21, 1940, in South Bend, as Jane H. Zielinski, she married Arthur T. Ast. He died March 20, 1979. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia A. Kaniewski of New Carlisle and Marlene A. Wasikowski of Granger; eight grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and two brothers, William Zielinski and Bert C. Zielinski, both of South Bend.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hold Cross Catholic Church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m.
