Germaine T. Arndt

Oct. 27, 1924  -  July 17, 1993

SOUTH BEND   Germaine T. Arndt, 68, of East Fox Street, died at 8 p.m. Saturday in Indiana University Hospital, Indianapolis, after an illness.  Mrs. Arndt was a registered nurse and parochial school nurse.

She was born Oct 27, 1924 in Mishawaka and was a lifelong area resident.  On Jan 27, 1961, as Germaine Lochmandy, she married Edward J. Arndt in South Bend, IN.  He survives with a son, John E. of South Bend.  A grandson John died July 7, 1993.

She was a graduate of the former St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing.  She was a member of the Riley Lunch Bunch, Uniroyal Golf League and St. Matthew Cathedral Ladies Golf League.  She was also a Eucharist minister at. St. Joseph’s Medical Center, and was past president of the rosary society of St. Matthew’s.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the church.  Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery.  Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 4 p.m.
