Miss Echo L. Apt

October 31, 1908 – May 7, 1983

Miss Echo L. Apt, 74, of 501 S Scott, died at 9:30am Saturday in Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.  She was retired in 1970 form the Lamport, Fox, Prell & Dolk Advertising Agency.

Born on October 31, 1908, in Marion IN, she lived in South Bend since 1925, coming from Marion.  Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Edna Baker of Niles, Mrs. Maxine Kise of Albuquerque NM and Mrs. Juanita Wertz of Sanford NC; four brothers, Glenn of Punta Gorda FL, Lawrence and Donald, both of South Bend, and Dean of Rio Rancho NM; 16 nieces and four nephews.

Services will be at 11am Tuesday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William, with Rev. Herschel Dyer, pastor of St Paul’s Memorial United Methodist Church, officiating.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.  Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Monday in the funeral home.
