Sister Maria Annr CSC, 74, of Saint Mary’s Convent died at 2 a.m. today in the convent after a lengthy illness, She was born Maria Annr on Jan. 5, 1907 in Munich, Germany, and entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross on Oct. 28, 1923. She was received as a novice on Aug. 15, 1924 and made her profession of vows on Aug. 15, 1926. She taught at many elementary schools of the Sisters of Holy Cross, including St. Mary’s campus School from 1967 to 1969.Other assignments were in California, Utah and Washington, before she came to reside at St. Mary’s Convent. She is survived by a sister, Sister M. Theophilia CSC, also of St. Mary’s Convent.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at The Church of Our Lady of Loretto, with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, on the campus. Friends may call until time of services at the convent parlors, where a wake will be observed at 7 p.m. today.
