“E. J. Andrysiak Dies at Age 58:  Tyler Engineer Stricken While Driving”

 

Eugene J. Andrysiak, 58, of 1102 E. Wayne St., chief industrial engineer of the Tyler Refrigeration Co., Niles, was found dead about 2 p.m. Thursday after suffering an apparent heart attack

 

Michigan State Police found Andrysiak slumped over the wheel of his car, which had apparently run off the New York Central System property just northeast of Niles. He apparently had suffered the heart attack before his car went off the road, according to police

 

He was born on Aug. 10, 1909 in South Bend, and had moved here eight months ago from Kendallville. He was former vice-president of the McCray Corp. of Kendallville

 

On Sept. 18, 1943, in Chicago, he married Annette Marie Dalesandro, who survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Jeanette, Therese, Lisa and Michelle, all at home; a brother, Leo of South Bend; and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Mott, of South Bend

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today in the Hickey Funeral Home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church with Rev. John Jakubielski, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. The parish rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.
