Karl L. Andrews Sr., 84, of Gernhart Avenue, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away Friday evening, Feb. 15, in the Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation Center, South Bend, Ind. Karl was born on Dec. 9, 1917, in Mishawaka, to Joseph and Grace (Long) Andrews. Karl was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Grace Andrews; and by a brother, Arthur Andrews in 1993.

On Nov. 17, 1957, in Mishawaka, Karl married Lillian Stull Cooley. Karl retired from Wheelabrator-Frye in 1980, where he worked as a drill press operator. Karl was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion #303 of River Park for 50 years, and the Mishawaka Eagles #2083.

Karl is survived by his wife, Lillian Andrews; two sons, Karl L. (Jan) Andrews Jr. of West Virginia and Robert L. Andrews of Texas. He is also survived by a stepson, Robert S. (Nancy) Cooley of St. Joseph, Mich.; a sister, Genevieve Entzian of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and by three grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild and four step-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today, Feb. 17th, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 18th, in the funeral chapel, with Rev. Ervin Mize officiating. Burial is to follow at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind.
