Jacquelyn M. Andert, 63, of East Hartman Drive, South Bend, Ind., died early Sunday, Feb. 15, 1998, at her residence after an extended illness. Born in Mishawaka, Ind., on Jan. 28, 1935, to John T. and Madeline (Beuche) Beissel, Mrs. Andert was a lifelong area resident. Retiring in December 1997, after 23 years as a secretary with Memorial Hospital of South Bend, Mrs. Andert was highly respected and loved by her colleagues.

 

In South Bend on July 30, 1955, as the former Jacquelyn M. Beissel, she married William F. Andert, who survives. Also surviving is her mother, Madeline Beissel of Mishawaka, Ind.; two daughters, Elizabeth A. Ehmen of Reedsberg, Wis., and Kathleen M. Zakowski of South Bend, Ind.; four sons, Michael K. of Mishawaka, Ind., William J., James A., and Matthew J., all of South Bend, Ind.; and 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Maureen Holland of Mishawaka, Ind., and Majorie Fields of Dunn, N.C.; two brothers, John T. Beissel, Jr., of Chandler, Ariz., and Robert Beissel of South Bend, Ind.

 

Friends called from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday in the Little Flower Catholic Church, with Wake Services conducted at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. today in the church, with burial to follow in the Highland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Little Flower Catholic Church Building Fund, 54191 Ironwood Road, South Bend, IN 46635. The Hickey Funeral Homes is serving the family of Mrs. Andert.
