Mildred Lucille Anderson, 91,
residing on West Washington Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away
at 3 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, in the Saint Joseph Care Center-West
from Alzheimer's disease. She was born April 14, 1908, in Creal
Springs, Ill., as the daughter of John and Ona (Mount) White.
She served for many years as a registered nurse in private duty.
She was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of American
Legion Post 50.
Mildred is survived by her granddaughter,
Deborah (Dale) Grimes of South Bend; and by two
great-granddaughters, Charity (Mike) Ford and Victoria Grimes,
both of South Bend.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today,
Sept. 12, at Southlawn Cemetery. Rev. Don Francis will officiate.
There will be no visitation. Memorial donations on behalf of Mrs.
Anderson may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111
Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637. The Palmer Funeral
Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, is handling
arrangements.
