NEW CARLISLE - Jane K. (McMullin) Anderson, 90, died
Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at Hamilton Communities. Jane was born
on August 1, 1917, in Seymour, Indiana, to Earl C. and Florence (Kent)
McMullin. She lived in New Carlisle and South Bend since
1935. Jane was a long-time employee of the former Studebaker
Corporation, remaining until 1977 after the "phase out"
was completed. She retired in 1987, from St. Joseph County, where
she served in several departments in the County-City Building.
On May 4, 1947, Jane married John R.
Anderson, who preceded her in death on November 24, 1979.
Surviving are her brother, Robert F. McMullin of Sandwich,
Illinois; nephews and nieces, James McMullin of San Antonio,
Texas, Robert F. McMullin of Naperville, Illinois, Carol Whitworth
of Longwood, Florida, Frances Kirschten of Destin, Florida
and JaneAnn Trier of Oveido, Florida; and several
great-nephews and nieces. Jane was a member of the New Carlisle
United Methodist Church, former member of the Studebaker Mary Ann
Club, the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and the Schuyler Colfax
Chapter of N.S.D.A.R.
Private burial has taken place in the New
Carlisle Cemetery. Kaniewski Funeral Home, New Carlisle, Indiana
is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to
the New Carlisle United Methodist Church, 300 Compton Street, New
Carlisle, Indiana 46552.
