The Peoples Circle (

The Peoples Circle (Belgian Club) and Volkskring Society 1925

 

A Society/Club founded by leaders of the South Bend Belgian community of South Bend in March of 1925. The organization was located at the club hall 1126 West Thomas Street, not far from the Sacred Heart Belgian Church. The cubs purpose is to foster the needs of the Belgian immigrants, aid them in emergencies of any kind, encourage naturalization and find employment for them so as to make them productive citizens.

 

Founding Officers include, President, Gaston Veys, Vice President, Alfons Taelman, Secretary, Noel Van Durme,
