The Peter & Martha (Strozewski) Stypczynski Family  

Peter was born August 01, 1888 in South bend the son of Joseph & Anna (Cwiklinska) Stypczynski. On November 29, 1911he will marry the former Martha Strozewski the daughter Valentine &  Eva (Ochocka)  Strozewski in St Adalbert Catholic Church, South Bend, Ind.   Seven children will be born to this union; Eugene, Leo, Harry, Bernice, Louis Albert, Eugene A and Henry. Peter will make his career at Studebaker where he will work for over 30 years, the family will reside at 435 Brookfield street and attend St. Adalberts Church.   Peter will pass in 1966 and Martha will follow in 1968. They rest in St. Joseph's Cemetery.  


The Henry Stypczynski and Theresa Stuglik Family  

Henry Stypczynski was born after 4-7-1929 to Peter and Martha (Strozewska) Stypczynski in South Bend Indiana. Peter was the son of Joseph and Anna (Cwiklinska) Stypczynski who immigrated to St. Joseph county about 1877 and were early members of St. Hedwig Parish. Peter's brother Bernard married my Great Aunt Mary Piechorowska. On October 4, 1952 Henry married the former Theresa Stuglik the daughter of Joseph and Magdalena (Plonka) Stuglik  who immigrated to this city from Poland. Three children were born to this union Sharon, Renee and James Anthony.   Henry and Theresa are living a Happy Retirement in Mishawaka, Indiana

The Memories of Theresa Stuglik, December 18, 2005  

Henry was born April 7, 1929.  Peter (Henry's father) his brother
Bernard married your great Aunt Mary.  On October 4, 1952 Henry
Stypczynski married the former Theresa Stuglik daughter of Magdalena
(Plonka) Stuglik and the late Joseph Stuglik who died in 1941.  Both
parents came to this country from Poland and at first settled in South
Bend  and then moved to a farm on what is now Beebee Road between Niles,
and Edwardsburg, Michigan where I (Theresa)  was born. I had four brothers
Joseph, Leonard, Johnny and Walter.  All four brothers are now deceased.
Leonard and Johnny served in World War II.  Joseph was already married
and bought a farm. Walter ended up on the family farm and also worked as
a welder.  Walter really enjoyed farming.  Johnny and Leonard both
worked as electricians at Oliver Corporation. Johnny also bought a farm when he
married we loved going there for picnics.  Leonard and his wife Joan
(Szymczyk) had a couple acres and a nice home on Kenilworth Road.  They
had 5 beautiful daughters everyone is married and they have familes of
their own.   Joseph had a large family Johnny had 2 children Rose Ann
and Ronald and Walter and his wife had one daughter.
We got married at St. Adalberts Church in South Bend.

The Bernard Stypczynski  and Mary Piechorowski Family   Bernard Stypczynski was born May 20, 1886 in the Chicago area. About 1905 the family, including his brother Joseph moved to the South Bend. Bernard will marry Mary Piechorowski  the daughter of Jan and Emelia (Chemlewski) Piechorowski of Terre Coupee, Indiana. The couple will reside at 330 North Walnut, become parishioners of St Stanislaus B & M  Catholic Church and in 1921 he will be employed at the Singer Manufacturing Company as a cabinet maker a position he will hold until his retirement in 1953.  One child Judith Marie was born to this union. She will pass in 1943 of a rare bone ailment.  Bernard and Mary will pass in South Bend  in 1976 a month apart. Services were held at St Stanislaus B&M and burial at St. Joseph's Cemetery. A brother Joseph will survives
