Lookup and local researcher assistance are available to help you in your Northwest Indiana genealogy and family history research.
LOOKUP RESEARCH REQUEST POLICY
NWIGS volunteers will perform a index look-up service from NWIGS publications. Negative findings will be indicated in our reply. A self address, stamped envelope is required for all requests. Two photocopies from the index are included in each request. Additional copies from the index or the row-by-row section require an additional payment $.20 per copy.
Notification of additional charges will be provided with the initial reply and must be paid prior to final completion of the request. Additional postage, if necessary, will also be billed when the request is answered. A list of area researchers will be provided upon request or when research request exceeds a NWIGS publication index search. Members are entitled to one free lookup per year (year begins July 1) from the below list.

CEMETERY SEARCH PRICES:
One surname in one cemetery - $1.00 for members, $2.00 for non-members
Each additional surname in same Cemetery - $1.00 for members, $1.00 for non-members
One surname in second cemetery - $1.00 for members, $2.00 for non-member
Each additional surname in same second cemetery - $1.00 for members, $1.00 for non-members
Limit: Two [2] cemeteries per request.
NATURALIZATIONS
SEARCH PRICES:
Each individual - $1.00 for members, $2.00 for non-members
Second individual
- $2.00 for members, $2.00 for non-members
Limit:
One [1] request of two individuals per year

ENUMERATION RECORDS SEARCH PRICES:
One surname per city or township - $1.00 for members, $2.00 for non-members

RESEARCHERS FOR HIRE
The following individuals are active members in NWIGS and have
volunteered to be listed as available researchers. They will help you with
your research for a fee. You will need to contact the individual to obtain
their fee structure and to see if they are willing and able to assist you at
this time. NWIGS neither guarantees these researchers nor endorses any
particular researcher over that of another.
