TITLE: First M. E. Church and Community House, Gary, Ind. This downtown Church and community center, of beautiful English Gothic architecture, was erected in 1927 at a cost approximating $1,000,000. The community building includes among other features an auditorium seating 1,000 persons, a gymnasium and a roof garden.

TITLE: City Methodist Church, Sixth & Washington Streets, Gary, Indiana. First Methodist Church has served the people of Gary for over fifty years, having been organized October 5, 1906. The present Gothic property includes the Sanctuary, Seaman Hall, Educational Building and a Gymnasium. The church is open every day.

TITLE: Building of Glen Park Church of Christ: Gary, Ind. in one day, March 18th, 1911. The pictures on the other side show the building of Glen Park Church of Christ in 9 hours. 40 carpenters and 25 helpers assisted. The ladies served two meals, total 300 plate. All work was given free. Church was dedicated March 25 and $600 raised in 24 minutes to clear all debt. Within the City of Gary, The Disciples of Christ have located congregations in three strategic points since June 1st, 1910.
