beautiful English Gothic architecture, was erected in 1927 at a cost
approximating $1,000,000. The community building includes among other
features an auditorium seating 1,000 persons, a gymnasium and a roof garden.

people of Gary for over fifty years, having been organized October 5, 1906.
The present Gothic property includes the Sanctuary, Seaman Hall, Educational
Building and a Gymnasium. The church is open every day.

TITLE: Building of Glen Park Church of Christ:
Gary, Ind. in one day, March 18th, 1911. The pictures on the other side show
the building of Glen Park Church of Christ in 9 hours. 40 carpenters and 25
helpers assisted. The ladies served two meals, total 300 plate. All work was
given free. Church was dedicated March 25 and $600 raised in 24 minutes to
clear all debt. Within the City of Gary, The Disciples of Christ have
located congregations in three strategic points since June 1st, 1910.
