was located about one and one half miles north of today's Cedar Lake Lincoln
School at an intersection called Farmdale in the years between 1885 and
1914. Member of the 1898 class taught by A. J. Friesle included, (fron row,
from left), two unidentified students, Elizabeth Blakely, an unidentified
member of the Blakely family, Gertrude Blakely and two more unidentified
students. Second row, (left to right), includes three unidentified students,
Amelia Klein, and unidentified student, Matilda Gard, and unidentified
student. Lillian Gerold, and Joseph Gard. Those in the third row, (from
left), include an unidentified student, and unidentified member of the Hero
family, an unidentified student, Ed Klein, Kate Schultz, William Schreiber,
Appalonia Schultz and Mary Schultz. Anyone able to identify other members of
the class are asked to contact the Star-Register office.
