Medical and Drugless Physicians Licenses and Certificates for Lake County, Indiana

The Calumet Regional Archives at Indiana University has two books containing physician records - Drugless (Book No. 958) and Medical (Book No. 959), plus certificates and licenses available to order.

Drugless Physicians include Chiropractic, Naturopathy, Electro Therapeutics, Osteopathy and Midwife). Drugless physicians could have as many as four licenses. The dates for these records range from April 2, 1929, through November 20, 1958.

Medical Physicians include regular Medical Doctors, Dentists, Osteopaths, Optometrists and Registered Nurses. The dates for these records range from April 22, 1929, through May 18, 1955.
