  • circa 1909 McCray Refrigerator circa 1909 McCray Refrigerator e Old Jail Museum’s kitchen features a circa 1909 McCray Refrigerator, made in Kendallville. At its peak during WWII, McCray Refrigeration employed 600 people.
  • Local Doctor Instruments Local Doctor Instruments Instruments used by local doctors throughout the past fill display cases in the Medical/Music Room of the museum. Many are from prominent Wolf Lake doctor, Dr. James Luckey.
  • Society Publications For Sale in the Lobby Society Publications For Sale in the Lobby Many of the museum’s publications are for sale in the lobby. Books, historical calendars and postcards filled with Noble County history and vintage photos are among the items. These are also available through the mail by contacting the Noble County Historical Society, P.O. Box 152, Albion.
  • Native American Artifacts Native American artifacts are abundant at the museum, representing Noble County’s extensive early Indian culture. Seen in the case is a canoe oar circa 1840 found in Chain O’ Lakes State Park in Green Township. Native American Artifacts
  • High School Sports Memorabilia High School Sports Memorabilia Sports memorabilia in the Sports Room represents a time when the county had nine high schools.
  • Wawaka High School Trophies Wawaka High School Trophies Wawaka High School is well represented with various county and tourney champ trophies.
  • Old-time School Room Old-time School Room Visit the authentic old-time school room upstairs in the museum. Desks, photos, writing materials and books are from various county schools.
  • Vintage Office Machines Vintage Office Machines Vintage office machines through the years are on display in one of the cells.
  • Top-of-the-line Collection Top-of-the-line Collection Top-of-the-line doll collection is on display in a new case in an upstairs bedroom. The earliest doll is from before the Civil War.
  • Bed Straw Mattress and Antique Quilt in Bedroom Bed Straw Mattress and Antique Quilt in Bedroom Authentic bed with straw mattress and antique Crazy Quilt are part of the display in an upstairs bedroom. Both floors of the south side of the museum was the residence of the sheriff and his family.
  • 1861 Noble County Plat Map 1861 Noble County Plat Map Get a close-up look at the Noble County Plat Map from 1861. It measures 56 inches square and names every landowner and number of acres owned at that time.
  • Indiana Bicentennial 2016 Indiana Bicentennial 2016 To commemorate Indiana’s Bicentennial in 2016, a Noble County timeline was created for the museum. It covers 200 years of the county’s history beginning in 1816.
  • 1760 White Captive Slate Slab 1760 White Captive Slate Slab The museum’s prize acquisition is this slate slab, etched in 1760 by a white captive being taken west by a Native American (probably Delaware) tribe. It was found in Sparta Township in 1861 and donated to the museum in 2014 by the Jerry Horsewood family.
