Mrs. J. F. Fulton returned home Wednesday from Indianapolis, where she has been the guest of her sister, Mrs. Thomas Garrard.

Mrs. E. E. Green called on friends in Fairmount Tuesday.

Mesdames Rebecca Thompson and R.W. Thompson and little daughter visited friends in Anderson Monday.

Mrs. Violet Collins called on Marion friends the first of the week.

Mrs. Emma Stuart returned to her home at Alexandria Tuesday afternoon after visiting Mrs. Sarah McMahan, of this city, for a few days.

Mrs. D. L. Green and daughter, Miss Chloe, are guests of relatives and friends at Fairmount for a few days before leaving for their new home at Radeland, Louisiana.

Mrs. Alice E. McKee returned to her home at Hamilton, O., Monday after spending a few days with Mr. and Mrs. F.W. Rockefeller.

Mrs. C. Hartley returned to Alexandria after visiting her daughter, Mrs. C. W. Lyons, of this city.

Mrs. M. M. Reddick and brother Q. Rindson, are the guests of relatives at Knightstown and Hamilton Station.

Miss Helen Tyner was called to her home at Kokomo Tuesday by the serious illness of her mother.

Miss Blanch Edgell spent Thursday with friends at Alexandria.

Mrs. George Marke returned to Marion Thursday after a few days visit with Mrs. F. Edgell, of this city.

Mrs. Dennis Swihart and sister, Miss Arland Martin, went to Hartford City Thursday afternoon to meet their brother, who returned from West Virginia.

Mr. and Mrs. Cassius McNairy and Master William, of Tipton, spent Thursday with his sister, Mrs. W. W. Homman.

The Elwood Hoosier club was entertained Thursday afternoon by Mrs. Tomes on East Main street. The hostell contributed a paper on the war governor, Oliver P. Morton and read a letter on "Holly and Mistletoe." Miss Lula Leeson contributed a paper on "The Life of Conrad Baker" and Mrs. J. H. Wagner read a letter to the club from Mrs. Charles Parsons, a member of the club, now touring in the south, written from El Paso, Tex. The guests were Mesdames J. W. and H. V. Call and D. C. Harrold.

Mrs. George Chitty and children, Clarence, Thelma and baby, left Thursday for Emporia, Kan., where they will visit Mrs. Chitty's mother.

Mrs. A. E. Otto was hostess to the Riley club on Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. T. H. Jones led the discussin of the program. Mesdames Merker, Mahoney, Bertsche, C. C. Hall, Huston, Jones, Lippincott, Little, Stinson, and Misses Louise Otto, Mary Thayer, Carrie Scott, Beatrice Jones and Edith Gipe were guests. Refreshments were served.

Mrs. M. L. Carrigus will entertain the "Christmas meeting" of the Ladies Art circle Tuesday afternoon, Dec 13.

Mrs. R. W. Wallace, of Elwood, was a guest of Mrs. M. W. Conway Tuesday evening.

Mrs. T. H. Jones entertained on Tuesday and Wednesday Mesdames Gilbert and Calvin Baum, of Sweetser.

W. L. Hughes and family have gone to Siloam Springs, Ark., for the benefit of Mrs. Hughes' health. Miss Maggie Johnson Mrs. Hughes' sister, accompanied them.

Mrs. S. G. Phillips entertained the Methodist Ladies Missionary society Friday afternoon.

A.M. Clark is spending a month at Martinsville in search of relief from rheumatism.

Mrs. Will Black was hostess Wednesday to the Ivy club. In the winning of prizes at cards Mrs. T. W. Mullen was first. Elegant refreshments were served.

Mrs. T. M. French visited her son Walter and family, of Anderson, on Wednesday and Thursday.

Misses Nellie and Gertrude Freo were hostesses to the Tri Kappa girls on Monday evening. The guests were Misses Ethel Hall, Bessie Slaughter, Louise Browning, Dora Frank, Helen Finch, Winnie Hurlock, Ora Hurlock, Georgia and Mary Jones. Ethel Hall was taken into the mystic order, after which elaborate home-made refreshments were served.

D. M. McCormick, of Anderson, and J. R. McCormick, of Logansport, were guests of their sister, Mrs. Lulu Montgomery, Tuesday.

Mesdames Nathan Booth and John McKenna and Miss Carie Scott spent Monday in Anderson.

Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Shaefer and son Garland, Ira Runyan and wife, of this city, and Lant Runyan and wife, of Laporte, will start to Tampa City, Fla., Jan. 1, to remain for some time during which time Lant Runyan will take a side trip to Havana, Cuba.
