At the meeting on Monday, June 17, the Civil War Round Table enjoyed the subject "Tactical Perfection-Nathan Bedford Forrest at Brice's Crossroads" by Mr. Gregory G. Biggs. The saga of the war's most tactically perfect battle, including an analysis of the tactics and how they influenced later commanders. Complete with slides and handouts. Mr. Biggs is a former Associate Editor, Blue & Gray Magazine; past Vice President, Western Ohio Civil War Association; a current member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and the Western Ohio Civil War Round Table. He is a text editor, Flags of the Confederacy website. Mr. Biggs has two forthcoming books: Tattered Banners: Alabama's Civil War Flags; and I Go to Illustrate Georgia: Civil War Flags of Georgia Troops, Ironclad Publishing. Mr. Biggs has published articles in Blue & Gray Magazine; Civil War Regiments, and has essays on various confederate flags on Flags of the Confederacy Website.

27TH INDIANA'S POSITION AT SPANGLER'S SPRING, GETTYSBURG, PA, ADOPTED
The Indianapolis Civil War Round Table has adopted the 27th Indiana's position at Spangler's Spring at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. This regiment fought on the right end of the Union line on July 2, 1863. Seventeen people from this community, including Gerald Jones and Steve Jackson showed up to clear brush from the pasture side of the Creek to restore it to its original appearance the day of the battle.
