Melissa Bainter Lacy





The Noblesville Daily Ledger carried this obituary on Oct. 18,1917.

"WIFE of REV. LACY BURIED WEDNESDAY.

Wife of a Retired Minister Who Lived In Cicero

Mrs F. M. Lacy, wife of Rev. F. M. Lacy, was buried at Blountsville, Ind. near Muncie, Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Lacy was a retired Methodist minister and they resided in Cicero. A short service was held at their home in Cicero and the service was in charge of Rev. Rogers. Then the funeral cortege drove by auto to Blountsville, where the funeral was held in the M. E. Church in that city, being in charge of Rev. C. E. Line of this city, a number of ministers of the North Indiana Conference assisting, Rev. Lacy having been a member of this conference for many years. He retired some years ago and has been living in Cicero since that time.


Melissa Bainter was born March 8, 1856 in Blountsville, Henry Co. In. Her father was Daniel Bainter and her mother was Mary Black. They were born in Ross Co. Ohio. She married Francis Marion Lacy Oct.16,1873 in Delaware County, In.
