OBITUARY


Francis Marion Lacy





The Noblesville Daily Ledger carried this obituary on Nov.21, 1919.

"REV. F.M. LACY DIED SUDDENLY AT CICERO.

"Held Many Pastorates In The Northern Indiana Methodist Conference

Rev. F. M. Lacy,a retired Methodist minister, died of apoplexy, at 7:20 p"clock, Friday morning at his home in Cicero. The funeral will be at Blountsville at 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon. There will be a short service at the home in Cicero at 9:15 Sunday morning.

Rev. Mr.Lacy leaves a widow and two children, Mrs Lon Etzler, of Alexandria and Daniel Lacy of Terre Haute. He was never a pastor in this county but served the church at Perkins ville in 1890 to 1894. He was also at Fortville and Anderson and held other prominent pastorates. His last pastorate was at Swayzee.

He attended the prayer meeting at Cicero Thursday evening, and was taken sick while there. He was taken home and lost consciousness about 19:o'clock that night and never recovered.


Frances Marion Lacy was one of the sixteen children of Parker Lacy. He was born Sept. 3rd 1852.His mother was Parker's second wife Rachel Mcmullen Lacy.
