NAME:BILL HOLIFIELD
SURNAMES: HOLIFELD
I am looking for information on my ancestors who moved to
Arkansas, I
believe to Miss. Co.; moved from western Tennessee. I am
particularly
interested in the years of late 1800's and early 1900's. These
people
would have been descendents of William HOLIFIELD who moved to
Graves Co.
KY from NC in 1800's. My limb of the Holifield tree later moved
to
Texas, but it is likely they moved to AR prior to coming to TX.
Common
spellings of the HOLIFIELD name were:HOLIFIELD, HOLLIFIELD,
HOLYFIELD, HOLLYFIELD,
Thank you, BILL HOLIFIELD

I am requesting information on Pascal RICE who lived in
Mississippi County @1860 or 1870 and from then on just over the
borderinto Dunklin County, Missouri. Pascal married Sarah
DAUGHERTY or DOHERTY, awidow from Illinois who had several
children, one of whom Elizabeth MarthaDAUGHERTY or DOHERTY
married John STRATTON. Their daughter, Nebraska STRATTON,was my
great-grandmother. She was born @ 1880 and married John
WashingtonPOWERS. Family tradition states that Sarah, who was
also called Wenokie, was
a Chickasaw or Cherokee Indian, as was her first husband and all
of her
children. She was also supposedly descended from a Chief called
White or
Whitepath. Would also like information on a Liza Victoria DAVIS

Help! I'm looking for CRIBBS. I know that my grandfather was
born in Arkansas, Blythville, we think. His name was L.R. Cribbs
but we don't know if the L.R. stands for anything. His father
Will Cribbs may have been born in Arkansas too. I can not seem
to find anything on them. L.R. married Mary Heard/Herod? and they
moved to California.

My great grandmother was a Uzzell and lived at Pecan Point on the
Mississippi River. I have been putting together albums of the
family and
realized that I know nothing about what has happened to the
Uzzell
family. My mother and her sister are deceased and they didn't
pass
information on to us about the Uzzells. We want to have a
family reunion
and would like to see if any of the Uzzells are alive so they
can join
the Bransons to celebrate our heritage. If you know anything
about the
Uzzells, I would love to know it or where to go to find that
information.
Thanks for any help that you can give.
