Harold Felty's Hamilton County books

ALBEE

ALBEE--I'm researching the Albee family of Emma Township and have run into a brick wall. Joseph Albee was married in 1873 to Juliette McKnight in White County. They were in the 1880 Census, and no more can be found. Children: Nathaniel, Henrietta, May, Arthur, Alvin, Corrie and Edwin. If anyone has any information on Albees in White County,
please contact
Arnold Nadler;
13522 Bowling Alley Road,
Benton, IL 62812-4511.

VAUGHT

VAUGHT--Who were the parents of Elizabeth and James Vaught? Elizabeth was born in 1820 in Tennessee, and James was born in 1824 in Tennessee. Legend has it their mother was a Blackfoot Indian. James Vaught died about 1855 in Saline County. Elizabeth married W.H. Roberts and lived in Saline County. If anyone has come across these people in their research,
please contact me:
Toni Conover,
20 Reynolds Road,
Bradford, TN 38316.
Phone 1-901-742-3858.

TRUMPETER, FEARS

TRUMPETER, FEARS--Barbara Trompeter was born in Ruit, Germany in 1805 and came to Philadelphia with her parents and six siblings the same year. The family first settled in Lycomming County in 1815. Then they sold out and moved with the Harmony Society in 1815 to the banks of the Wabash. When the society moved back east in 1824, Barbara did not go with them. Her brother, John, had left the society and lived in Henderson. Barbara married Alexander Fears in 1825 in White County. The 1830 Census shows them with two children, but they were gone by 1840. If anybody knows anything about Barbara Trompeter Fears and her family,
please contact me:
John N. Trumpeter,

Clinton, IA 52732.
