Powless Craven


POWLESS, CRAVENS--I need info on William Powless' and Rachel Cravens' families. Powless was born in 1857 and married in White County Aug. 26, 1875.

GLASGO, HAYS--Need information on Lucy Glasgo, who married Monroe Hays Aug. 17, 1871 in White County. Would like to make contact with anyone with information on Glasgo's parents, her date of birth and death, and any children.

McCARTHY--Need information on William Daniel McCarthy, born Dec. 26, 1872. His father was C.D. McCarthy. Both men lived in White County in the 1880s or early 1890s.

LEWIS, BRUNER or BURNER--Need information on Stephen C. Lewis, born in 1839 and died in 1873 or 1874. Who were his parents? Where did he die, and where was he buried? His wife, Drusilla Anderson, later married John Burner (or Bruner). They are buried at Centerville Cemetery. They had several children. Would like to correspond with any descendants.

Fleeta Williams Guffey has sent our library a copy of the Williams Family History and Cookbook. This contains stories and genealogy of Richard and Mae Catlin Williams and their 12 children, plus recipes contributed by their descendants. An interesting addition to our book shelves.
