Massac County, Illinois Poor Farm And Pauper Fund Records
This book is a compilation of misc. records giving the history of the two poor farms that were located in Massac County. It also includes many deaths and burials not recorded in the local death records. Many judges, physicians, justices of the peace, and people who received relief from the county, but did not live at the poor farm are also included. Softbound, 254 pages and a full name index.

Massac County, Illinois Obituary Clippings
Volume 3, P-Z
This book contains obituary clippings donated by members of the Massac County Genealogical Society. P-Z indicates that the deceased's surname begins with the letter P through Z. Clippings were donated by members from all over the U.S., though most are obituaries from Massac, Johnson, Pope, Pulaski, Alexander, Hardin, and Union Counties in Illinois; and McCracken Co., Kentucky. Some of the clippings were received dark, light, or in a few instances had lines cut off the bottom or letters cut off the sides. MCGS printed these obits as they were received as we felt the information they contained justified printing them with the few imperfections. This book has 190 pages of obituaries, funeral cards, and death notices and a full name index.

Early Marriages Index 1843-1855 & Marriage Consents
The index is the oldest marriage book in the county clerks office. The indexes are in three sections - alphabetically by brides name, grooms name and certificate number. It is from dates 1843-1855. The marriage consents are ones that were found in old boxes in the vault. They were loose and mixed up. They are from the 1840's to the 1900's.
