CANATSEY CEMETERY
Scott County, Illinois

This cemetery is situated along the north side of the Woodson-Winchester road. If driving west on the Woodson-Winchester road, it is approximately 7.2 miles west of U.S. Rte. 67. If driving east from Winchester, the cemetery is located approximately 3 miles from the intersection of the highway running south out of Winchester. The cemetery has a wooden fence around three sides and is kept mowed. There were obviously a number of additional graves in this cemetery originally, as there is a pile of broken pieces of stones lying along the south side of the cemetery and there are a number of bases which no longer have stones lying near them. In addition, you can tell from the spacing of the stones that there were originally other burials between some of those which are currently marked.
