Eva P. Walker, 86, of Springfield died Tuesday at St. John's Hospice. She was born Aug. 25, 1909, in Meredosia, the daughter of James and Mary Ricketts Herrin. She married Darnell I. Walker in 1928; he died in 1991. Mrs. Walker, a homemaker, had lived in Springfield since 1951. She was a member of Southside Christian Church.

Survivors: three daughters, Mrs. George (Mary Jean) Flowers of Buena Park, Calif.; Mrs. James (Joann) Mason of Hemett, Calif., and Mrs. Russell (Darlene) Driver of Chatham; three sons, Norman Walker of Norwalk, Calif., Eugene Walker of Sherman and James Walker of Indianapolis; 21 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services: 11 A.M. Friday, Staab Funeral Home, the Rev. Jeff Chitwood officiating. Burial: Oak Ridge Cemetery.
