George O. Thomas, 81, of 331 N. Twelfth St., died at 8:20 p.m. yesterday in St. John�s hospital where he was admitted Nov. 7.
Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife, Bertha; three sons, Milton, Melvin and George, all of Springfield; six daughters, Mrs. Mabel Tinsley and Mrs. Frances Tozier, both of Springfield; Mrs. Elvina Phoenix and Mrs. Evalee Zola, both of Chicago; Miss Florence and Mrs. Bertha Lasey, both of Jacksonville; a sister, Ida Martin Doolen, N.D.; 15 grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Ellinger & Kunz funeral home.

Mrs. Bertha Maybel Thomas, 77, of 331 N. 12th St. died at 8:07 a.m. yesterday at St. John�s hospital following a long illness.
She was a member of Third Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Thomas is survived by three sons, Melvin, Milton and George, all of Springfield; six daughters, Mrs. Mabel Tinsley and Mrs. Frances Tozier, both of Springfield; Mrs. Lavina Phoeniz, and Mrs. Evalee Zola both of Chicago; Mrs. Bertha Losey and Miss Florence Thomas, both of Jacksonville; three sisters Mrs. Nellie Waymire and Mrs. Regina Brook both of Decatur, and Mrs. Florence Tompson, San Bernardine Calif; 15 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Remains were taken to the Ellinger and Kunz Funeral Home where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow, Rev. H.M. Hildebrand officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
