JANE McGORRAY, ILLIOPOLIS, DIES

Came to This Country From Ireland at Age of 18 Years,

Mrs. Jane McGorray, 78, resident of Illiopolis, died in the family residence there at 3:05 Wednesday afternoon. She suffered a stroke of apoplexy three months ago and had been critically ill since that time.

Jane Muldoon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Muldoon, was born in Dary county, Ireland, on April 13, 1850. She came to the United States at the age of 18, and on Nov. 1867 was married to Patrick Graham. Her husband died in 1893. She lived on a farm north of Niantic for 33 years.

In 1900 she married Hugh McGorray and in 1901 they moved to Illiopolis where she has since made her home. Her second husband died in 1912.

Mrs. McGorray was well known in Illiopois and Niantic. She was a member of the Church of the Visitation in Illiopolis.

She leaves the following chidren: Mrs. Anna Sheehan, Springfield; Mrs. Elizabeth Shanahan, Chicago; Miss Jennie, Miss Julia and John Graham, all of Illiopois, Hugh Graham, Los Angeles. Three children preceded her in death. She also leaves a brother, James Muldoon, Niantic. She had 14 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

The body was prepared for burial by J. J. Moran & Sons undertaker. It will remain in the residence in Illiopolis where friends may call until funeral time.

Funeral services will be Friday morning in the Church of the Visitation, Illiopolis. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Illiopolis.
