Miss Sarah Daily, 83, Niantic Native Dies in Decatur
Miss Sarah E. Daily, age 83, a Niantic native, who had been a public health nurse for many years, died Thursday, July 3 in the Americana Nursing Center.

Miss Daily was born in Niantic, a daughter of Michael and Catherine Daily. She was a graduate of St. John's Hospital School of Nursing, Springfield and attended Millikin University and Western Reserve University. Her bachelor's degree was from Columbia University. She began her career in nursing in the 1930s and retired in 1964.

She was a member of St. Elizabeth's Altar Society and St. James Catholic Church. Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Kathryn D. Leonard of Decatur. Five brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

Mass of the Resurrection was held at 11 a.m. Monday in St. James Catholic Church, Decatur. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Illiopolis.
