JOHN J. BLAIR DIES AFTER CAR ACCIDENT

John J. Blair of Springfield, formerly of Illiopolis, died last Wednesday, June 30 from injuries received in an auto accident near Springfield on June 25. John and his wife Dorothy were passengers in a car driven by George W. Erdmann also of Springfield, when it collied with a pickup truck.

John J. Blair, Sr., age 56 was born in Illiopois; the son of John F. and Anna Nolan Blair. He married Dorothy J. Kane and became a resident of Springfield in 1957. He was a superintendent for Evans Construction Co. Mr. Blair was a member of Christ the King Church and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Illiopolis American Legion Post No. 508. He leaves his wife, Dorothy J.; two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Susan) Blair-Westfall, Springfield and Mary Alison Blair; two sons, John J. Jr. and Andrew T. Blair, one sister, Mrs. William Werner, all of Springfield.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday at Christ the King Church with Monsignor John Bretz officiating. Buril awas in Calvary Cemetery in Illiopolis. Memorials: Waters Cottage Fund, Lincoln Developmental Center, Lincoln, Illinois.
