"Wrightsville-Mrs Rachel Kesinger, age 85 yr 2mos 14 days died very suddenly Saturday. Rachel McCombs was born in Kentucky, October 24, 1813; was married to Daniel Kesinger March 7, 1832. Twelve children born, six of whom survive: William, Porter F., James C., Charles A., Mrs. John Waltrip and Mrs. James Davidson, all residing in this neighborhood. Funeral at Hickory Grove Church, burial in cemetery nearby."
