Henry James Devine was born to Irish immigrants, Patrick H. and Bridget Daly Devine on September 25, 1875 in Pisgah, Morgan County, Illinois. He married Olvenia/olivenia "Ollie" Cully, daughter of John J. and Margaret E. Cully, on December 20, 1907 in Jacksonville, Illinois. They had one child, Eugene "Gene" Devine. The family moved to Aurora, Kane County, Illinois about 1919. Henry was employed by the Burlington Railroad as a bridge carpenter for many years. Henry Devine passed away at 50 years of age at his home in Aurora, Illinois on January 17, 1926. He is interred in Calvary Cemetery in Jacksonville, Illinois. His widow, Ollie Cully Devine, passed away on March 9, 1944 in Aurora, Illinois and is interred in Spring Lake Cemetery at Aurora, Illinois. Submitted by Kerry |
