Miller, James W.

James W. Miller

This picture is dated September 1892.

An inscription on the back says "Drilling an argent?"
This and several other of the Keplinger pictures displayed here have an interesting history.
A truck driver found them in a trash can along the Muskogee Turnpike in Oklahoma.
He was aware of genealogy researchers and posted a notice on GenForum about them.
Larry, who is descended from the Keplinger family in Macoupin County (other family members lived in Morgan
and surrounding counties) saw the notice and sent for the pictures. These turned out to be direct ancestors.

He says of this picture, I have a James W. Miller in my file, but have no information about him.
He is hoping someone will be able to associate the name and picture with someone related to the Keplingers.
Since Maurice Bell Keplinger married Marion Jenette Miller and they named one of their sons
James Miller Keplinger, he is, in all probability a close relative of Marion's.

What a miracle - 100 years after the pictures were taken, they were retrieved from a trash bin in Oklahoma
and ended up back with members of the family!!!!!!!
