"I was going through yet another of the boxes I inherited from my Mom & Dad and found this about my father through my 4th great grandparents, James Story and Hannah Mary Self. I have no idea when my grandmother wrote this down. I was told years ago by my grandmother, Birdie Elizabeth Gorrell Rhodes (her mother was Laura Elizabeth Story Gorrell Chapman) that the graveyard where James, Hannah and one of their daughters were buried had been plowed over in later years and the headstones were used for a walkway to the farmer's house.

As I was again going through your web site and reading the cemetery listings I thought that perhaps this is the STORY aka GUNN/STORY Cemetery which Mrs. Peak was speaking of. I know she states that her mother was a Story - guess I haven't gotten that far - if anybody out there has more information, I would love to hear from them. Thought this might be of interest to some of the web site visitors."
