HOWERTON

Mrs. Ala Sheppard Howerton, aged about 74, years, died at her home, seven miles southeast of Murrayville, Tuesday. She lived all her life in Morgan county, and was for a great many years a member of the Primitive Baptist church.

The funeral was conducted from the residence Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock and interment was made in the Sheppard cemetery, north of Woodson.

COUNTY COURT OF MORGAN COUNTY, ILLINOIS.

I, Alie E. Howerton, of the county of Morgan and state of Illinois do hereby make and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following to wit,

First, It is my will that, my funeral expenses and all my just debts be fully paid.

Second, After the payment of such funeral expenses and debts I give devise and bequeath unto my husband Wyatt Howerton all my personal and real estate of every kind whatever.

And lastly I hereby constitute and appoint John Brown and Harry Fanning executors without bond of this my last will and Testament revoking and annuling all former wills by me made ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament.

In witness where of I the said Alie E. Howerton have hereunto sit my hand and seal this 21st day of September A.D. 1903.

Your petitioner, Wyatt Howerton, represents unto your honor that the instrument in writing, herewith filed, purports to be the last Will and Testament of Alie E Howerton who died on the 22nd day of September A. D. 1903, at Nortonville Precinct and who at the time of her death was a resident of the Precinct of Nortonville in the County and State aforsaid. That said decedent left serviving her the following persons, her only heirs at law:

D. 1903 That she then and there subscribed her name thereto in thier persence, and declared the same to be her Last Will and Testament; and that the said testatrix at the time of excuting the same as aforesaid was of full age, of sound mind and memory, and under no constraint.
