Military Rites for George Wiley

Funeral services for George Edgar Wiley were held at 9 a.m. Thursday at Church of Our Saviour. Requiem High Mass was celebrated by the Reverend James Caldwell.

Pallbearers were Staley Keller, Charles DeFreitas, Rex Wynn, John Bridgewater, Virgil Houston and John T. Bridgeman.

Military rites were conducted at the graveside in Nortonville cemetery by American Legion Post 279. Officiating were commander, Dale Smith; Chaplain, Lloyd Slagle; officer-of-the-day, Laurence Alloway; color bearers, Henry Scott and Eugene Dodsworth; color guard, Earl Meline and Wade Roach; firing squad, James Murgatroyd, Paul Seymour, Albert Armitage, George Bamman and Virgil Henry and bugler, James Hepler.
