ATHENSVILLE

Linda Sue White, 56, of Athensville, died Tuesday April 24, 2001, at her residence.

She was born July 9, 1944, in Carrollton, the daughter of Norman Theodore and Mary Elizabeth Stone Probst. She married Wayne Decker Sr. and later married Marshall White in 1984, and he survives.

She is also survived by one son, Wayne Decker Jr. (wife, Amanda) of Murrayville; three daughters, Lisa Renee (husband, Richard) Pagan of Virginia, Teresa (husband, Kevin) Beddingfield of Athensville and Robin (husband, Bobby) Thomas of Jacksonville; 20 grandchildren; one brother, Norman T. Probst of Jacksonville; and two sisters, Judith A. (husband, Bud) Pohlman of Greenfield and Mary (husband, Larry) Brown of Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by a son, Steven Probst, in 1992.

Mrs. White was employed at Kraft and Lundia prior to her illness and was a member of the Lincoln Avenue Baptist church in Jacksonville.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Stults-Neece Funeral Home in Palmyra, with burial at Youngblood Cemetery in Nortonville. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the family.
