Isa "Sis" Vedder, 93, of Murrayville dies

MURRAYVILLE - Ida "Sis" Vedder, 93, of Murrayville died Friday, Oct. 4, 1991, at Passavant Area Hospital.

She was born June 25, 1898, in Murrayville, the daughter of Thomas and Louella Steele Mason. She married Virgil Vedder Sr. on Feb. 5, 1929 in Murrayville. He died July 15, 1966.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Vernon (Helen) Hundley of Hennepin and Mrs. Olie (Marian) Mueller of Buena Vista, Colo.; two sons, Virgil Vedder Jr. of Waverly and Donald Vedder of Murrayville; six grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Vedder was a housewife who enjoyed making quilts. She was a member of the Youngblood Baptist church in Nortonville.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Youngblood Baptist Church in Nortonville with burial at Youngblood Cemetery in Nortonville. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Mackey Daws Funeral Home in Murrayville. Memorials may be made to Youngblood Baptist church.
