H. Leslie Starner, 36, of city, dies

Harold Leslie Starner, 36, of 604 E. College, died Friday afternoon, June 26, at his home.

He was born Nov. 3, 1950 in Nortonville, son of Everett and Mildred Witwer Starner.

He is survived by his parents of rural Murrayville; one brother, Marvin Starner of Effingham; seven sisters, Ann Newingham and Lela Gillmore, both of Jacksonville, Marjorie Gray of Braidw2ood, Shelby Walls of Murrayville, Sie Wilford of Oskaloosa, Iowa, Mary Carver, of Wilmington and Edith Little of Nortonville; nine nephews and 12 nieces.

He was a graduate of Franklin High School and worked for the Brown Sanitation co. and recently for the Elm City Center.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at the Neece Funeral Home in Franklin with burial at Youngblood Cemetery in Nortonville. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Sunday, family to meet friends 7-8:30p.m.
