Ethel Seymour, 76, of Murrayville, dies

Ethel M. Seymour, 76, of R.R. 2 Murrayville, died Friday afternoon at Passavant Hospital.

She was born Oct. 25, 1900 in Scott County, a daughter of Robert and Martha Patterson Mellor.

She married Fletcher Seymour Nov. 20, 1935. He survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Edwin (Betty) Clayton of R.R. 2 Franklin; a son, Daryll Seymour of R.R. 3 Jacksonville; a brother, James R. Mellor of Jacksonville; a sister, Osie Summers of Winchester; six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Mackey-Daws Funeral Home, Murrayville. Visitation will begin Sunday at 2 p.m. The family will meet friends from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Youngblood Cemetery.

She was a member of the Nortonville Community Club.
