SAMPLE

Washington Sample was born in Morgan county, Illinois, Sept. 18, 1846, and died at his home in Nortonville, Jan. 20, 1911, at the age of 64 years, 4 months and 2 days. He was united in marriage to Rebecca Ann Samples Sept. 25, 1873. To this union four children were born, three dying in infancy, and one (William) who is yet living. The wife and mother departed this life May 11, 1882.

March 13, 1889, Mr. Sample and Mary Fanny Miller were united in marriage. To this union four children were born, one dying in infancy. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Mary and three children - Estelle, Hilliard and Leona, besides a host of other relatives and friends. He said he was ready and willing for the good Lord to come and relieve him of his burdens, then he would be happy.

Funeral services were held at the family residence Sunday, Jan 22, at 11 a.m., conducted by Elder J. A. Conlee of this city.
