OLIN MCLAMAR DIES; RITES HELD AT NORTONVILLE

Olin McLamar, 82, of Jacksonville died Saturday afternoon at Norris hospital where he had been a patient three days. He was a former resident of the Nortonville area.

Born Sept. 1, 1886 at Nortonville, he was the son of Thomas and Susan McCurley McLamar. He married Alma B. Fanning on Nov. 5, 1968, and she preceded him in death Dec. 25, 1961.

Mr. McLamar is survived by two sons: Merrill of Pittsburgh, and John of Gary, Ind.; and four daughters: Mrs. Sylvia French and Mrs. Clifford Upchurch of Jacksonville; Mrs. Betty Pruden, of Versailles, and Mrs. Mary Ruth Knapp of Springfield. He was the uncle of Mrs. Ruth (McLamar) Ranson. There are nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Youngblood Baptist church in Nortonville, with Rev. Calvin Kelly officiating. Mrs. Brenda Chaudoin, organist, played Beyond the Sunset; also, It's a Great Day.

Caring for flowers were Clarice Wells, Meda Chaudoin, Elaine Penick, Bonnie Orris, Frances Mutch and Oral Kelly. Pallbearers were John Harris, Thomas Knapp, Marvin Gibbs, Terrill McLamar, Larry Gibbs and Ronald Upchurch. Interment was in the Youngblood cemetery at Nortonville.

The Gillham-Buchanan Funeral Home, Jacksonville, was in charge of arrangements.
