HELEN MANSFIELD

Helen Mae Mansfield, 76, Modesto, died Monday night, January 14, 1980, at her residence.

Mrs. Mansfield was born at Nortonville October 31, 1903, daughter of Joseph and Carrie Wood Britenstine. She married Otis Mansfield May 14, 1944, and he survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Mae Mitchell, Cookson, Oklahoma; a son, Vernon England, Houston, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Roy (Jessie) Witt, Waverly; three brothers, Floyd Britenstine, Sunset, Arizona, Edgar Britenstine, Odenton, Maryland; and Arthur Britenstine, Franklin; and a grandson. She was preceded in death by three brothers and a son.

Funeral services were held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Neece Funeral Home in Waverly with Rev. Raymond Yow, Palmyra Baptist Church minister, officiating.

Pallbearers were Stubb Braley, Peck Newberry, Leroy Moss, Freddie Britenstine, Harold Britenstine, Marvin Britenstine, Clyde Crayne, and Coy Witt.

Burial was in Youngblood Cemetery, Nortonville, Ill. The family met friends at the funeral home 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
